Your Library Card

Who can get a library card, how to apply, and how to use your library card.

Use this space to write out the policies and procedures about the library card. Include:

  • Who is eligible to get a library card
  1. Residents of the community in the city of Cushing and the surrounding rural area
  2. Applicants under the age of 14 must have a parent or guardian give their consent ont he application form before a card is issued
  • Borrowers must be registered and have a valid library card to check out library materials. Patrons must fill out a registration card with the following information
  1. Name
  2. Address
  3. Phone number
  4. business address and phone number and e-mail address
  • How to use the library card
    • Checking out books and other materials
    • Loan limits for material at the library is as followed:
      • Books and  Audio Books -- three  weeks
      • Interlibrary loans ----------  Due on the date indicated by the lending library
      • Vidiotapes and DVD's ------ one week
      • References books ----------- do not circulate
      • Periodicals--------------------- one week
    • Reciprocal borrowing privileges
    • items may be returned during library hours or may be placed in the library book return located outside the library
    • books may be renewed once if there is not a waiting list for the title
    • we do not have a fine or fee for overdue books, We do though have a damage or replacement cost for any lost or damaged materials
    • patrons may request an item and when it come in or is gotten over the ILL the person will be notified
    • a reserve may be placed either in person, over the phone or by e-mail. Patrons will be notified when the material is available. There is no charge for placing a reserve.
